EcoIron™
A greener, more reliable steelmaking material
The U.S. currently relies on Russia and Ukraine for pig iron used in steel production.
ElementUSA is changing that paradigm, producing a green pig iron substitute (EcoIron™) right here in the U.S.

Scandium
Producing a superior, cost saving material at scale
Scandium, as an additive, creates a substantially stronger, lighter, corrosion resistant and temperature tolerant aluminum alloy crucially important to the aerospace industry, among others.
ElementUSA is positioned to be the first dependable supplier of scandium in the USA with the potential to double the global supply of this increasingly coveted material.

Alumina
Recovering alumina from tailings to support aluminum production
The Bayer process developed in 1888 supports the refining of bauxite into alumina. Depending on vintage of refining technology leads to significant amounts of alumina in tailings for recovery to support the American aluminum industry.
Rare Earths
Reducing reliance on an unstable foreign supply
ElementUSA’s bauxite residue reserves also contains other rare earth elements including neodymium, praseodymium, yttrium, cerium, and lanthanum, all essential compounds used in new technologies like electric vehicles.
Gallium is a critical material for semiconductors and other high-tech applications, specifically in the defense industry.
ElementUSA will be the primary producer of gallium in the U.S.
